From what age do you take clients?
I can only tattoo people who are at least 18 years old. If you are 16 or 17, both of your parents would have to come with you to the studio (each must show their ID) and sign an authorization form.
How long will my tattoo session take?
I know you would like to make plans on your free day, or maybe you are just curious… but honestly, this is not a question you want to ask your tattoo artist. The first reason is that the time needed for a tattoo can vary enormously depending on many factors ( e.g. skin type, client behavior, etc.). The second reason is that a tattoo is permanent and therefore it must be done carefully, taking the time it needs to achieve the best quality possible. The best recommendation is to not make any plans for after your tattoo session… you don’t want to rush your tattoo artist, do you?
Can I get a tattoo if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
I personally deny requests from clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, this is because there is almost no research on the topic, but mainly because getting a tattoo will always face some risks to anyone, and during pregnancy, those risks are higher. You can read more about it here: Getting a tattoo during pregnancy
For how long have you been tattooing?
I have been tattooing professionally in a tattoo studio since October of 2021… before this time I had only done it sporadically and unprofessionally during the last year I lived in my country (2016-2017).
Don’t you have any tattoos yourself?
Yes, I do. I have a full-color tattoo on my left hip, which I got back in 2017 before leaving my country. I do plan on soon getting many more 😉
Where are you from? Why did you move to Germany?
I am from Honduras, which is located in Central America. I left my country in 2017 in search of better job opportunities, just three months after finishing my university studies.
How long must I wait to exercise again?
Since a tattoo is permanent and the healing process extremely crucial, I always recommend just waiting until the tattoo is fully healed before going back to the gym or your usual sport. But if you really MUST exercise, you should at least wait until after you have taken off the “Second Skin” film protection. Here you can read all my recommendations: Tattoo Aftercare
